When should I take the first night’s test?

You should undergo your first night’s study the very night you receive your Ez Sleep testing device. After your first night’s study, you’ll need to wait 7 days to take your second night’s study.

When should I take the second night’s test?

You should undergo your second night’s sleep study 7 days after the initial sleep test.

What happens if I don’t wait 7 days between the 1st and 2nd night’s study?

Since it is your insurance company’s guideline, they may not reimburse for the test if there is not a 7 day window between test nights. Reimbursement of the second night’s sleep study may be compromised and the study may be rendered inconclusive.

What if something comes up and it is more than 7 days before my second night’s study?

It is acceptable for the second night’s study to be more than 7 days after the first night. We understand things come up, however, don’t wait too long for the second night’s study as this will significantly delay diagnosis and treatment.

What is the maximum amount of time I can have the testing equipment?

You’ll have 14 days to complete both nights of your sleep test, and drop-off your Ez Sleep Testing equipment at your local U.S. post office. (A prepaid shipping label has been provided for your convenience and you can ship the unit back in the same box it arrived in). If not dropped off at the post office within 14 days, a $25 late fee may apply. Delays can occur, please call Ez Sleep for assistance.

What if I get busy or don’t have time to take my test or drop it off on time?

If you are unable to send your Ez Sleep testing equipment back on time, just let us know immediately and we can arrange an extended window of time (usually 2-3 additional days). A prepaid shipping label is provided with your Ez Sleep Test equipment for your convenience.

What if I don’t return my Ez Sleep Test at all?

If you do not return the Ez Sleep testing equipment, you or your medical insurance will be liable for the cost of replacement and billed up to $4,995. We understand that life happens and people get busy. If you anticipate a delay, remember to call us at 888-240-7735 so we can arrange an extension.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? See if any of the following below can help.

Will I be able to sleep with the Ez Sleep Test™ device on my forehead?

You may find it a bit strange at first, but most people do not find it uncomfortable or an obstacle to fall asleep.

Do I need to sleep on my back?

No. You can sleep in the position that is most comfortable.

Can I sleep with a television or ceiling fan on in the room?

If possible, refrain from using anything that creates ambient noise during the sleep study.

How many hours do I need to sleep with the Ez Sleep Test™ device?

You will need to sleep with the device all night.

Can I take medications?

Yes. Please take your medication as usual.

What if I have to use the restroom or get a drink of water during the night?

Leave the monitor on and recording during these activities.

Can I shower with the Ez Sleep Test™ device?

No. The Ez Sleep Test device cannot get wet.

Will the Home Sleep Testing unit record my conversations?

No, the device will only record your snoring levels.

If I wake up in the middle of the night, do I have to turn off the unit?

No, the device tracks when you are asleep or awake. So, if you happen to wake up in the middle of the night, you may keep the device on and comfortably fall asleep when ready.

What are some tips I should know when wearing the Home Sleep Test?

Ensure that the head strap is properly adjusted and that it fits you snug but comfortably. Straps that are too tight may lead you to have headaches. You may adjust the head strap like a baseball cap by adjusting the band connectors located at the rear of the strap.

If you are a mother and your child wakes you during the test, do not turn off the unit. Proceed to tend to your child and return to bed when ready. The device will continue to record your sleeping habits once you are back to sleep.

Wear the head unit so that the bottom of the unit is as close to the edge of your eyebrows. This ensures that the laser points to the meatier portion of your forehead. If you place the device so that the laser hits the thinner portion of your forehead (usually higher on the forehead), you may wake up with a red mark on your forehead. That mark will go away after a few hours since it is not a rash.
